Alison Mooney is an Australian artist based on the Sunshine Coast in South-East Queensland.
Her art is energetic with influences drawn from attitudes of graffiti, activism and ‘sugar pop’.
Her current body of work investigates ‘suspense’ and its cultural connotations in public Australian vernacular.

Alison is working towards a solo show at 19Karen Contemporary Artspace come October, 2018. Previously, her solo shows have been: Dokodemo Door, No Comply Gallery, Toowoomba (2015); Loxley’s Eight, Metro Café & Events, Toowoomba (2009).
Projects have included Arts InSitu, Noosa Alive (2017), Unframed Project (2016 + 2015), Margaret Ellen Turner Residency, (July 2015 – February, 2016), First Coat Street Art + Music Festival (2015, 2014), Brief Encounters Australian debut (2013).
Alison Mooney has worked with multiple artists, projects and spaces as founding director of MARS gallery ( 2010 – 2015) and co-founding director of TheGRID: hybrid arts collective.
